Buying Kim Penner's Horse Art
Are the originals one of a kind?
Yes. Every original is a unique acrylic painting, hand-signed by Kim. Once an original sells, the image often remains available as a limited-edition print.
What is the difference between canvas and metal prints?
Canvas prints are gallery-quality reproductions with the texture and warmth of the original. Metal prints are printed on aluminium for a luminous, contemporary finish. Both are signed and numbered.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Every piece ships fully insured. Within Canada and the United States, shipping is CAD $50 for the first artwork plus $25 for each additional artwork in the same order. For every other destination, checkout collects payment for the artwork first; Kim then confirms a custom insured-shipping quote and sends a separate shipping invoice before dispatch.
How do commissions work?
Commissions begin with a no-obligation consultation about your horse, the setting, size, and timeline. Kim works from your photographs and shares a composition for approval before painting begins. Start on the commissions page.
Can I see a piece in person?
Kim exhibits at select shows across Western Canada, including the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase, and welcomes collectors to her Lacombe studio by appointment.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed securely through PayPal, which supports major credit cards with no account required. Your card details are never seen or stored by this site.
How is Canadian sales tax calculated?
Applicable GST or HST is calculated from the Canadian delivery province and shown separately before payment. Orders exported outside Canada are charged 0% Canadian GST/HST; import duties or destination-country taxes remain the recipient's responsibility.
